The Fulton County Board of Commissioners just approved the selection of Hillsman Inc. for the Medical & Office Furniture Fixtures & Equipment Design and installation for the Oak Hill Child, Adolescent & Family Center for Fulton County Department of Health Services. The project is slated to commence immediately. This newly renovated youth-specific facility will be 47,000 square feet comprised of an administration building with two wings attached by walkways and will provide medical and educational services.
The campus will also have a renovated gymnasium, an outdoor walking path, multi-purpose recreation field, and a community garden to support the focus on wellness and prevention. The expansion and coordination of the children and youth programming offered by the County will emphasize eliminating health disparities among children and youth with a focus on wellness and prevention. The Furniture, Fixtures & Medical Equipment selection and specifications will include systems furniture, freestanding furniture, seating, filing equipment, exam tables, related products and support services.
Also included in the realm of responsibility are the furniture, fixtures and equipment suitable for use by adult and adolescent clients, medical/office design services, coordinating delivery and installation services. Buildings designed for children, adolescent & family centered care and services should consider the needs for the entire household, from young children to the elderly. Our approach will reinforce this separation by providing FF&E design that is geared to the various age groups.
We bring extensive experience in designing projects for children and young teens. Our understanding of how adolescents may respond positively to designs that are not overly pediatric and their need to feel connected and a sense of belonging with the space will be an asset to your project. We thank Fulton County for selecting us and for their confidence, as we recently completed the Adamsville Regional Healthcare Center in Adamsville, Georgia.
